This Sunday – October 1 – is World Communion Sunday. We symbolically gather as a universal church around a world-wide table. We call to mind our brothers and sisters of every language, race, color and creed. We join together this week, continuing in “The Call of a Disciple” series” with Pastor Lynn’s sermon on “Service.” See you in church — and bring a friend!
The anthem for Sunday, “We Are the Hands of Christ” is based on the prayer attributed to St. Teresa of Avila, “Christ has No Body”, in which we hear these words:
Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes through which He looks
With compassion upon the world.
