Q: What is included in a wedding at Laguna Beach UMC?
A: Our core package is $3,400 which includes the Pastor, Wedding Coordinator, Pianist/Organist, Vocal Soloist, and Sound Technician. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve your wedding date.
Q: Does Laguna Beach UMC and its pastor perform marriages for the LGBTQIA+ community?
A: Yes. LBUMC welcomes and affirms all people as children of God and worthy of God's love. We believe in full participation in the life of the church, and equality in membership, ordination, and marriage for God's children of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We are a reconciling church with truly "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors."
Q: How many people can the sanctuary hold?
A: Our sanctuary holds 285 to 300 attendees.
Q: How much time do I have in the space for my wedding?
A: Our services provide approximately 3 hours of access to our church.
Q: Is the sanctuary at Laguna Beach UMC pet-friendly?
A: No.
Q: Can we decorate the sanctuary or bring items to toss/release after the ceremony?
A: You may use floral arrangements in the sanctuary. Insurance complications do not allow rice, bird seed, confetti or bubbles on the church property. Balloons may not be released.
Q: Is there a dressing room?
A: Yes, we have two dressing rooms.
Q: May I bring my own clergy to officiate the ceremony?
A: Outside clergy may be used at the discretion of our pastor.
Q: May I have my reception at Laguna Beach UMC?
A: At this current time, there are no facilities for receptions at Laguna Beach UMC. We will be glad to offer suggestions for some of the facilities that are available within a short distance from Laguna Beach UMC.
